GRACE FIT UK - Case Study
Project: GRACE FIT UK
Role: Head of Design
Date: April 2019
Website: n/a
Description: Website re-design for a UK based fitness influencer Grace Fit UK.
Requirement: The platform needed visual and functional upgrades since the MVP launch of the new product launch. It suffered from a lack of coherent architecture in many places, and learnings about user behaviour were not being applied. The platform needed to better reflect the quality of content it held, and meet tough new quarterly targets for user numbers and engagement.
Proposal: A clean responsive design with an overall gentleness and simplicity. Simplified e-commerce experience for mobile users, new design for members area with access to online video library, new catalog system for the physical products and clearer devision for basic, intermediate and advanced levels.
Clean, mobile-first design
The new design was designed to be mobile first. Needed to address mobile users needs of making the process as quick and easy as possible.
Personals:
young female, age 14-24, instagram user, follows Grace, uses iPhone 6, looking for fitness and nutrition inspiration.
Grace Fit UK offers a range of Workout and Nutrition PDF guides.
Post launch issue: Users were expecting the PDF guides to be hard copy and to receive it via post. We needed a more direct way to convey it’s digital (soft) copy only.
Solution: Clearer product description, including words “downloadable” and “digital” in the product name. Creating a set of visuals for the guides showing the guides in a device mockup instead of isolated cover image. Adding “download” icon onto CTA.
